How to Use Hair Dryer Diffuser?
The diffuser is very gentle on your hair. It distributes the heat without being aggressive, which is perfect for drying fine, coloured, permed or naturally curly hair.
Dry your hair using a hair dryer with a diffuser:
- Dry your hair beginning at the roots and using circular motions, always moving in the same direction. Use the diffuser with the hair dryer set at speed 1 only.
- Continue drying, keeping the hair dryer at a 90-degree angle from scalp. This will lift the roots away from the scalp giving your hair volume.
- Finish by drying the ends.
To set your hair style and achieve a ‘long-lasting’ effect, finish by blowing a ‘cool shot’ through your hair.
Add volume to your hair using a hair dryer with a diffuser:
- To add volume to your hair, dry it upside down so that the roots fall away from your scalp. Use the diffuser with the hair dryer set at speed 1 only.
- Point the hair dryer at the roots to give your hair maximum volume.
- Continue the process to the ends of your hair.
When your hair is dry, throw your hair back and brush to shape. To set the style and achieve a ‘long-lasting’ effect, finish by blowing a ‘cool shot’ through your hair.
Using a hair dryer with a concentrator:
The concentrator directs the airflow precisely, it is especially recommended for smoothing and shaping your hair. It is also used to produce more volume from the roots.
- Pre-dry your hair with the hairdryer on the highest heat setting. For drying, separate your hair into 5-cm wide sections. Place a large round brush at the root of one of the sections.
- Point the hair dryer with the concentrator at a 90-degree angle to the section and run the brush under it, beginning at the roots and working down to the tips. Your hair dryer should now be set at medium. Repeat the process several times to dry the section completely before moving on to the next section.
- Finish by turning the ends under.
To set the hair style and achieve a ‘long-lasting’ effect, finish by blowing a ‘cool shot’ through your hair.

does this work cuz i have really curly hair and idk weather to do i the circular motion way or weather to do the scrunchy up to the scalp think :)

OMG people who think it's only for curly hair, you r wrong bcuz i have pin straight hair and a diffuser is perfect to crimp your hair and make it wavy...a pretty wave, not a dead wave. but yeah u need to mousse or slightly gel ALMOST dry hair and scrunch it up then use circular motions. after put a cold shot into it to set the style.

I have wavy/curly hair combo...but i have thin hair...and to add to it my hair gets greasy really easily as well. I've recently started to defuse my hair....by scrunching hair and then puting it in a defuser on high speed for a seconds...
how do you refresh curley hair.. i find that after i've slept my hair goes flat and i have to re wash it...

actually the above is incorrect. Ive been doing hair for years and have curly hair myself. here is what you need to do to get 100% satisfied results:
1. put a quarter size leave in conditioner (+/- for how much hair you have). brush in with a large comb.
2. turn hair upside down, and comb down in front and one sides
3. get some water and more leave in conditoner on your hands and work your hair into really wet chunks (about 7-8 that are haning down) and twril with the water/conditioner mix on your hands.
4. now while head is hanging, put a small amount of mouse on hands and gently touch all 7-8 twisties with mouse and scrunch up
5. get a towel and scrunch up very gently making sure not to unroll the twisties to dry your hair. you should squeeze pretty hard to try to get as much water as you can out.
6. now turn your blow dryer on (with the diffuser attached) to warm up the dryer. do not blow your hair. now that your hair dryer is warm, get about 1/4 of your hair starting on one side and gently place it in the diffuser and bring to scalp (so its bunched up in the diffuser). turn blowdryer on high heat low power and let dry for about 30 seconds.
7. continue around hair in 1/4 sections three times around. now flip head up being careful not to flip hair fast but gently. now use the same drying techniques as step 6. to dry your hair fuly while your head is upward. scrunch small amounts of leave in conditioner in your hair as you see more frizz.
i use paul mitchel leave in conditioner called "The Conditioner" and a curl defining mouse from panteen prov

A DIFFUSER IS FOR CURLY HAIR. IT WILL NOT CURL HAIR THAT IS NATURALLY STRAIGHT, (GO BUY CURLING IRONS!!!) IT IS BEST TO SCRUCH YOUR HAIR UP INTO THE DIFFUSER AND THEN MOVE IN CIRCULAR MOTIONS, IT WORKS IN TEH SALON ON ALL LENGTHS OF HAIR SO SHOULD WORK ON LONG AND SHORT HAIR OUTSIDE OF SLAON, IM NOT A MIRACLE WORKER AFTER ALL. IF YOU HAV CURLY HIAR TRY AND USE PRODUCTS TO STOP FIZZ IF YOU REALLY WANT TO DRY YOUR HAIR WITH HEAT. AS IT WILL ONLY MAKE CURLY HAIR MORE FRIZZY ADDING HEAT :)

Actually, I have mildly wavy hair, and I put a little bit of mousse, and a little bit of gel. It turned out much much nicer than I ever could have expected. This was an awesome tip and not only that, if you have the right base for styling, it really does work quite well!

idiots a diffuser is for people with curly hair because they can not use the regular one when they dry the hair because it makes it all weird lol it will not work for straight hair trust me go buy a curling iron
