How to Use Hair Dryer Diffuser?

The diffuser is very gentle on your hair. It distributes the heat without being aggressive, which is perfect for drying fine, coloured, permed or naturally curly hair.

Dry your hair using a hair dryer with a diffuser:

  1. Dry your hair beginning at the roots and using circular motions, always moving in the same direction. Use the diffuser with the hair dryer set at speed 1 only.
  2. Continue drying, keeping the hair dryer at a 90-degree angle from scalp. This will lift the roots away from the scalp giving your hair volume.
  3. Finish by drying the ends.

To set your hair style and achieve a ‘long-lasting’ effect, finish by blowing a ‘cool shot’ through your hair.

Add volume to your hair using a hair dryer with a diffuser:

  1. To add volume to your hair, dry it upside down so that the roots fall away from your scalp. Use the diffuser with the hair dryer set at speed 1 only.
  2. Point the hair dryer at the roots to give your hair maximum volume.
  3. Continue the process to the ends of your hair.

When your hair is dry, throw your hair back and brush to shape. To set the style and achieve a ‘long-lasting’ effect, finish by blowing a ‘cool shot’ through your hair.

Using a hair dryer with a concentrator:

The concentrator directs the airflow precisely, it is especially recommended for smoothing and shaping your hair. It is also used to produce more volume from the roots.

  1. Pre-dry your hair with the hairdryer on the highest heat setting. For drying, separate your hair into 5-cm wide sections. Place a large round brush at the root of one of the sections.
  2. Point the hair dryer with the concentrator at a 90-degree angle to the section and run the brush under it, beginning at the roots and working down to the tips. Your hair dryer should now be set at medium. Repeat the process several times to dry the section completely before moving on to the next section.
  3. Finish by turning the ends under.

To set the hair style and achieve a ‘long-lasting’ effect, finish by blowing a ‘cool shot’ through your hair.

My is naturally curly and frizzy. I recently took some advice and didn't brush my hair after i showered or while I was drying. I used some mousse and a diffuser and ended up with a nice tousled look with very little frizz...and my hair wasn't even knotted!

im starring in a movie in Hollywood and i have messy curls. LOl, all my stylists tell me the same thing but i hate their advice. I have my own product but tbh i don't really believe in it for my hair. Any ideas how to calm it and dry it without frizzing, thank you.

I have long, naturally very curly hair, and I heard on tv one time that very curly hair needs the product(mousse, gel, ect..) applied when the hair is still soaking wet and use a scrunching method. Then scrunch with a towel lightly to take out the excess moisture, and of course finish off with a diffuser. My curls have looked way better since I tried this!

I have permed wavy hair. Before I discovered what the diffuser does, I just let my hair air dry (It takes about 2 hours since I have very long hair). The diffuser works great for keeping my hair wavy and adds a lot of volume. I use it after scrunching my hair with a dime-size cream for curly hair (by Tressume) and curl defining mousse (by Pantene). One more thing, if you have permed hair, only brush your hair before or in the shower, never brush it while it's wet or else it will turn out straight (at least for me since I have naturally straight hair).
