How to Use Hair Dryer Diffuser?
The diffuser is very gentle on your hair. It distributes the heat without being aggressive, which is perfect for drying fine, coloured, permed or naturally curly hair.
Dry your hair using a hair dryer with a diffuser:

- Dry your hair beginning at the roots and using circular motions, always moving in the same direction. Use the diffuser with the hair dryer set at speed 1 only.
- Continue drying, keeping the hair dryer at a 90-degree angle from scalp. This will lift the roots away from the scalp giving your hair volume.
- Finish by drying the ends.
To set your hair style and achieve a ‘long-lasting’ effect, finish by blowing a ‘cool shot’ through your hair.
Add volume to your hair using a hair dryer with a diffuser:

- To add volume to your hair, dry it upside down so that the roots fall away from your scalp. Use the diffuser with the hair dryer set at speed 1 only.
- Point the hair dryer at the roots to give your hair maximum volume.
- Continue the process to the ends of your hair.
When your hair is dry, throw your hair back and brush to shape. To set the style and achieve a ‘long-lasting’ effect, finish by blowing a ‘cool shot’ through your hair.
Using a hair dryer with a concentrator:
The concentrator directs the airflow precisely, it is especially recommended for smoothing and shaping your hair. It is also used to produce more volume from the roots.

- Pre-dry your hair with the hairdryer on the highest heat setting. For drying, separate your hair into 5-cm wide sections. Place a large round brush at the root of one of the sections.
- Point the hair dryer with the concentrator at a 90-degree angle to the section and run the brush under it, beginning at the roots and working down to the tips. Your hair dryer should now be set at medium. Repeat the process several times to dry the section completely before moving on to the next section.
- Finish by turning the ends under.
To set the hair style and achieve a ‘long-lasting’ effect, finish by blowing a ‘cool shot’ through your hair.

FOR NATURALLY CURLY/WAVY HAIR:
use L'oreal paris vive pro for curly/wavy hair.
after i take a shower, i towel dry my hair then brush it. then i towel dry it again and run my fingers through my hair. after that, i part my hair using a comb. i use pantene mousse for curly hair and scrunch it through my hair.
it works very well!

My hair is naturally curly and I always scrunch in mousse when its still wet. run a wide-toothed comb through it ad then blow dry it 90% dry. Then I just let it air dry the rest of the way, in my experience it doesn't frizz. Sometimes I do it differently but I most certainly don't brush it when its dry, that just breaks up the curls and makes it frizz.

I have read comments and now I am totally confused. I have straight hair, if I want to get wavy hair I use surf spray. Will the diffuser help dry my hair once I put in surf spray and scrunch irt?

If your hair is frizzy get a Keratin treatment at a salon, it cost about $150 but lasts several months & is well worth it...it really works and is very good for your hair.

I have massivly straight hair and ive always had a hard time finding something that makes my hair not all staticky when ever i blow dry it. i think the diffuser really helps. i run it through my hair as if im brushing it and it helps my hair dry smooth, straight, and static free. i think its good for straight hair too, not just curly :)

I have naturally curly hair and i have tried a diffuser before and it didn't work. My hair turned out frizzy and ugly but i might not have been doing it right so i will try again. Oh for those who have curly hair here is a tip. Use Garnier leave in conditioner on wet hair before you go to bed and spry it with Frizz-ease curl perfector. put it in a high pony tail and leave it. In the morning use a frizz product( i use herbal essence none of your frizzness) and spry again with curl perfector. you don't even have to comb it and i find it turns out great!!

For people with dry, frizzy, wavy hair: towel dry your hair. Run invisible styling creme and styling wax through hair while damp (this will give you a light flexible hold and prevent frizz). Then style your hair with your fingers and use the diffuser to gently dry your hair. This gives your non frizzy wavy hair with just the right amount of volume. This did wonders for my out of control, dull, frizzy thick hair.

TO ANGIE: b4 u diffuse flip hair and work in dove mouse from roots to tips then lightly diffuse and leave hair a little damp so it will not frizz. TIP: if ur hair is also naturally frizzy try a light cream for the frizz. Check how oily it is because to much will make scalp look unclean and oil

ANGIE: I have natural curly thick hair, but I leave it wet with gel ans mousse in it becuase if I blow dry it.. it comes out frizzy. So if I get a Diffuser, all I have to do is the steps you said,, and it will atleast be a little dry and styled? I user Herbal Essence everything for Curly Hair...
