How to Use Hair Dryer Diffuser?

The diffuser is very gentle on your hair. It distributes the heat without being aggressive, which is perfect for drying fine, colored, permed or naturally curly hair.

Dry your hair using a hair dryer with a diffuser:

  1. Dry your hair beginning at the roots and using circular motions, always moving in the same direction. Use the diffuser with the hair dryer set at speed 1 only.
  2. Continue drying, keeping the hair dryer at a 90-degree angle from scalp. This will lift the roots away from the scalp giving your hair volume.
  3. Finish by drying the ends.

To set your hair style and achieve a "long-lasting" effect, finish by blowing a "cool shot" through your hair.

Add volume to your hair using a hair dryer with a diffuser:

  1. To add volume to your hair, dry it upside down so that the roots fall away from your scalp. Use the diffuser with the hair dryer set at speed 1 only.
  2. Point the hair dryer at the roots to give your hair maximum volume.
  3. Continue the process to the ends of your hair.

When your hair is dry, throw your hair back and brush to shape. To set the style and achieve a "long-lasting" effect, finish by blowing a "cool shot" through your hair.

I have shoulder-lenghth, layered, fine, wavy-ish hair. I don't actually feel the need to blow-dry my hair at all - I did before, but now I don't. I just wash my hair with Matrix Essentials Sleek.look shampoo and Herbal Essences Totally Twisted conditioner. After that, I put a little bit of Herbal Essences Totally Twisted mousse and gel in while it's still sopping wet, scrunch it, and let it air-dry, scrunching every now and then. After it's completely dry, I comb it with a wide-tooth comb and then brush it with a paddle brush. It creates shiny, soft, bouncy, voluminous curls.
