My husband purchased the Scirocco dryer as a Christmas gift in December of 2000. He wanted to make sure that the noise level was low enough so that my, then, 8 year old daughter would not sustained hearing loss. It lasted until yesterday....more than eight years. I am looking for another one just like it.

I was a little disappointed with the fact that I'm not a professional and I only used the dryer once to twice a week and it barely lasted a year before breaking down. The dryer is also a bit on the heavy side. I must say that it did do it's job and the heat intensity was great.
