CHI PRO Hair Dryer

Bought one for 189.00...lasted about a year..stopped blowing hot air....at that time they had the repair facility in Houston, paid 35.00 to have it repaired, got a brand new one..was very happy for a bout another year..then it quit blowing hot air AGAIN..now there is no repair facility anymore ( I'm not surprised at all ) and they basically said tough *^*&&..I'm so angry, my cheap one ( that I use for back up I've had for 10 years and it's still going & blowing..lol..total & complete rip off will never buy again .

Worked for about a year then started blowing cold air sporadically, a few months later it only blew cold air. It's ridiculous that I spent $120 dollars on a hair dryer and not get what I payed for!!!

I purchased a chi pro low emf only to have it start blowing cold air, returned it. The new product they sent me did the same thing, returned that one, now 10 months later the other they sent me is blowing cold. I give up, obviously a faulty product and it is a shame because when it works it works good.

I had my dryer about a year and it quit heating correctly. Sent it back to Chi factory and they repair for $35.00. It worked for another year and then fire sparks came out when I would try to use it.
I will buy a different brand!!!

I actually replaced the 1st Chi Pro I owned when it stopped heating after a year. Thought it was a fluke...now second one has done the same thing after about 13 months. This product is garbage...don't buy it! It is a cheap hairdryer that costs a lot of $! I have a Revlon that is over 10 years old and still works. I was duped by the new "technology"!

Wow! Seems as if these weredesigned to on;y work a year. I recieved mine for Christmas 2009 and today as I was drying my hair I saw a spark, and then......COLD AIR! Very frustrating as the one year warranty is up!

After my review that I sent in last week, I had an electrician look at the dryer. Come to find out the cold air button was stuck somewhere up in the dryer. He popped it out and now it is running again.

After working for over a year it broke after falling to the floor (carpeted). It sounds like it would be an easy repair (the fan buzzes when the dryer is turned upside down) but I'm disappointed to read there is no repair service available.

Wow-The cold air response is catching on. I have had this blow dryer for a little over 1 year and it is now blowing cold air. I really loved it while it worked, but I won't be purchasing another one. Is there anywhere that you can call to have them repaired?

Just like everyone on here my Chi blow dryer is NOW blowing just cold air. I purchased one for me and one for my mother 2 years ago and both of our just stopped blowing hot air. I could understand if this was a cheap product BUT it is not. Will never purchase a CHI product again. Hot Tools is the new brand of choice.

cannot believe a $160.00 hair dryer blows only cold air after 1yr., 1 month....i.do not even blow dry hair every day!!! i called customer service, they do not care...no repair....just toss it!!! poor customer relations on farouk's part!! will not purchase another one or recommend...(although i did love it when it worked)

Same problem that everyone else has reported. My daughter had the same problem - working fine then only cold air - ours were purchased at the same time -lasted about 2 yrs - mine broke about 6 mo before hers. Very Disappointed - most expensive hair dryer I had ever purchased but it was also the best while it lasted - never again would I purchase one of their electric products since they obviously won't stand by them!!

I Bought a CHI for my wife's birthday a year ago. I paid $150 for it because I thought it was the best out there and would last a long time. You get what you pay for right?
About a month ago it stopped heating. It blows fine, but no heat. I called the parent company and all I got was it only has a one year warranty with the receipt and orginal package. Sorry we cant fix it either. I guess you don't get what you pay for.

Had my Chi blower for about 5 years. Was absolutely excellent while it lasted. It started smoking and then huge sparks flew out of unit. Cord burned almost completely separating cord from unit. Will now look for a different highly recommended brand of blow-dryer.
