CHI Mini Pro Hair Dryer

I got the dryer from my daughter who is a hair dresser as a gift. Ilove how fast it drys my hair . But i am having a problem with the dryer because by the time I am finished drying my hair the handle of the dryer is so hot I can't hold it any longer.The dryer is less the a year old. please let me know what to do.
