I Love This Brand And Will Buy It For Life

I had an Elchim hairdryer for over 10 YEARS before it finally died, and that was really my fault for not cleaning the lint filter enough. I had never had a dryer last that long. Mind you, that was surviving countless falls to the floor too (I have two little kids).
I considered another brand until I read reviews of others that only lasted a year or two. If I'm going to drop $100+ on a hairdryer, it had better last. I think I will always buy this brand.
I love the concentrator nozzle on this one and that it clips on so securely. It is awesomely powerful and dries my hair even quicker than my last Elchim. I like the way the heat and fan switches are laid out on this model.
It's worth every penny. If you're like me and try to be environmentally-friendly, in our "disposable" society it's nice to buy from a company that makes stuff to last.

Powerful Motor

i'm a full time hairstylist and have used Elchims exclusively for the past 5 years. This is my first diversion from the Classic..... was a bit nervous based on some of the reviews, but I can honestly say that it is exactly what I was looking for. I need a hairdryer that is effective on all types of hair, but most importantly one that can straighten thick, curly hair efficiently. I am very satisfied.

Great Hair Dryer

I replaced my Conair with the Elchim 5000 and so far so good! I like the three heat settings because I prefer to dry my hair on medium heat. It is very powerful and cuts drying time down by one third. If I place in on the couner without turning it off It doesn't slide off the counter like some dryers do. The only drawback, if any, would be that it's a little heavy.

I have owned this dryer for about 4 years and I couldn't live without it. It delivers a hurricane force wind, which leaves my hair smooth, shiny, and with lots of body. And it dries my hair super fast. Warning: it is heavy, so if you have arthritis or anything, this may not be for you.
Elchim also stands by their products - my dryer recently developed a small "hot spot" where the plastic on the handle got so hot, it appeared to be melting. I called the repair center and they said the "ion" light must have slipped out of place. For a $20 shipping fee, they are repairing it and sending it back to me. Not bad for a 4 year old hair dryer.

Heavier Than I Expected....

The hair dryer is as powerful as I expected, but a little heavier than I thought. I would have liked it a little lighter. On the plus side, does dry hair quicker than my old dryer. I was hoping to do away with the fly aways I experienced with old hairdryer, but that was not the case. Also, my hair is very thin and at times it seems to take away some of the body. I found I need to play with the settings, and that did help. The cool power button is very nice addition to this model. All and all, I am really enjoying the elchium hair dryer and am happy with my purchase Also, Wonderful experience in speedy delivery by Folica.com. :)
