Vidal Sassoon Ion Select Turbo Hair Dryer

Only had the dryer for maybe six months and cap broke. Without the cap, it's almost useless!!!

IV'E HAD THIS BLOW DRYER FOR LIKE ONLY 2 MONTHS AND WHEN I GO TO TURN IT ON IT WONT TURN ON SO IM LIKE WHAT THE HECK! AND I KNOW FOR SURE ITS NOT BROKEN AND I CAN SEE ITS BEEN GETTING ALOT OF BAD REVEIWS SO I DONT KNOW WHATS WRONG WITH THIS THING

I was using this dryer this morning and it shot sparks out of the end and burned my arm and my sweatshirt that I was wearing. Looking for recall info. Very dangerous.

the end cap broke after 8 months! I was really startled...fortunately my hair is safe. without the end cap it is useless for me. Won't buy again.

Posted comment on January 2 regarding electrical vibrations coming from this dryer when plugged in. Want to TALK with these people, try to get some action, hopefully a refund. Sassoon website only set up for emails. Have not been able to find products on shelf which may give a phone number on box. Does anybody have a phone number for Sassoon? Please post if so. Wish I had ability to file a cl****action toward a recall. This unit should NOT be on the market and should be recalled.

I have been using this hair dryer for a little over a year and love it however, this morning while drying my hair 3huge sparks flew out into my hair. Luckily nothing got sinnged. I hadn't fully realized what happened until I heard a loud pop and saw the end of the dryer was white hot and looked like a flame had started! Immediately turned it off and unplugged it. I have never had anything like that happen before. Unbelievable! There should definitely be a recall on this model!

Have had this dryer for about 2 years, leave it plugged in. Every few months, it makes a loud electrical sound, very scary. I shut it off, reset it and it still works. Is there a recall on this model? See many other with same problem. No flames with the thing as other have had, but plan to replace it pronto. Went off again this morning and woke me up!

I had the product for about two years and was pleased with it until a few weeks ago. First, the dryer switch was working only when you got it in just the right spot. This morning, there was a loud pop and then the dryer started shooting out flames!!! (this was not just sparks). I turned the switch off but the dryer did not go off so I jerked it out of the wall. This could have burned me severely if I had not reacted quickly! If it has not been recalled, it should be!!!

I have had this hair dryer for about 1-1/2 to 2 years. I clean it regularly to keep the intake free of dust and lint. Yesterday I was almost done drying my hair when it popped loudly and shot out blue sparks. It burned my left forearm and I dropped it on the floor and unplugged it. the cord was burned halfway through where it attaches to the handle. This is very dangerous.

I've had this dryer less than a year, and it has not even been used daily. It started fashing blue light sparks yesterday. I turned it off immediately. Looking for recall info...I won't use this but it was like 30.00 so waiting to find recall info. DO NOT USE!!

I had this product for almost a year and then all of sudden it started not working all the time. Then today while drying my hair I had sparks come out of the cord near the base of the dryer. Not SAFE!!!!!

Well I can't say too many bad things about this dryer. I bought it 3 years ago and it has been great. But, today it stopped working properly, then sparks came shooting out of the base where the cord attaches and burnt my hand. So, it went out with a bang! And an ouch.

i have burned my hair 3 x's with this model - because the heating element covered with a metal is too close to the end - notice there is zero space at the end of this model - please revise this and can i get a nozel thing for the end. jimbevp@gmail.com

The concentrator was a nice addition except it always fell off the hair dryer. Mine also broke after about a year.

AS USUAL, WHATEVER I HAVE PURCHASED AT A TARGET STORE IT SEEMS DOES NOT LAST. 1 COFFEE POT, 2 ESPRESSO MAKERS, 1-HEATING PAD..THEIR RETURN POLICY IS ANYTHING BUT CUSTOMER SERVICE ORIENTATED. THIS DRYER QUIT WORKING AFTER 2 MONTHS.

worked pretty good considering i have really really long and think hair. it only took me about a half hour to dry (which used to take me almost an hour) the only bad thing was, i didn't even have it for a year and it just broke on me out of nowhere.
