Vidal Sassoon Professional Ion Hair Dryer

Mine caught on fire.    Actual fire coming out of it not just sparks and smoke.    Dangerous!
Be CAREFUL!!!!

Dryer is 5 years old running fine, until this morning when after I had gone to work the darn thing turned on and was smoltering.    The smoke detectors unstairs went off, thankfully my husband was still home.    That is the only thing that saved our home.    The burning electric and plactic smell is terrible, thoughout the house.

Do not buy this dryer! I've had it for a few years and yesterday it caught on fire in my hand causing a huge burn on my palm.    Be careful if you have it!

I had the exact same model but mine is a pink color. I bought it from ross just a few months ago. When I first go it and had used it a fw times there was always a slight warmth to the handle and I was affraid it was going to burn my hand.. but it never did. I loved he hair dryer up untill just last night when it started sparking in the handle. It lit up like a flashlight and bursts of light were sparking and then it got really hot and a flam started emerging from the handle I let go of it as I felt the heat on my hand and screamed! I'm so angry at myself for tossing the package and the recipt, I paid $15 for that pice of crap and I would have loved to have my money back but oh no No PKG No Recipt no refund. They should recall all of those Dryers, they are not safe!

I had this fantastic hair dryer for 6 years and I should note that I have lots of hair and with this hair dryer I can dry it under 3 minutes!    Best I have ever owned.
It died yesterday after 6 years :( I t was my fault i droped it really bad.

i only had this dryer for 1.5 years and it has a 24 month warranty on it so i called the manufacturer and they told me to send them the dryer back with $5 for handling...they are crazy if they think i am going to send them another $5 for another dryer that won't work for more than 2 years. the last dryer i had only lasted a year as well which was also vidal sassoon. I will never buy their products again, they never last long

My VS781 hair dryer recently turned on by itself and started to smolder!    The only way to turn it off was to unplug it -- the switches failed to work.    If I hadn't been nearby to hear it and investigate the source of the unexplained noise, my house could have burned down.

Good drier while it lasted... less than a year.    Just died on me!

Mine lasted at least a few years until I dropped (threw) it for the last and final time.    R.I.P.

I was drying my hair today as I have for the past few times with this hairdryer when it caught on fire I would not advise anyone to purchase or use this blow dryer.
