1.00 out of 5 stars POOR PRODUCT-HIGH PRICE!

I have purchased flat irons and blowdryers from CHI and have been very dissatisfied. The blowdryers seem to last just over a year-which is then outside the warranty period, and of coarse, Chi will do nothing at that point. It is a shame to pay this amount of money for a product that doesn't hold up. I have been using the same K-Mart dryer for over 10 years, now and it still works perfectly. Consider the problems with CHI products before wasting your money. Most people cannot afford to buy a new blow dryer or flat iron every other year!!

I have gone through 6 or 7, the last three rplaceds for $35 each. Different problems, switch, no heat, melting trans box, blowing sparks, the last two asted less than 6 months. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED IN THE TECHNOLOGY. sWITCHED TO ANOTHER COMPANY.

1.00 out of 5 stars Chi Ceramic Ionic Hairdryer

I purchased a Chi Ceramic Ionic Hairdryer thinking I was making an investment in a high quality hairdryer that would last me a long time. While it was working, I loved it but after six months it just stopped. It wouldn't blow air when I turned it on. I returned it to Farouk. After paying shipping and another fee they sent me a new hairdryer. This one did the same thing after less than two months. It just stopped working.

the heating element just went out in my Chi after 10 months, I replaced a Paul Mitchell for Chi after same problem....going back to walmart for next purchase. Chi is supposed to send a replacement for 15.00. So I guess i'll wait to hit Walmart in about 10 or 11 months!

3.00 out of 5 stars still searching

i am a professional hairstylist and absolutely love the performance of the CHI turbo. It is fast, hot, and super quiet! I can use it on the high setting and still carry on a conversation with my client without shouting! It does get very hot so i am constantly clicking the cool shot button so as not to burn my client. The down side is that I seem to be constantly replacing them. Ive had some that last 2 years and some that only last 3 months. I dont know what makes the difference, but I cant afford to be without a dryer while im waiting for a replacement over and over. I am still searching to find a dryer to equal the performance of the CHI without the hassle of constantly breaking.

3.00 out of 5 stars Heating Element Problem

I have had this blowdryer for two years and this week the heating element stopped working. The dryer part still works. I am afraid to replace it with another CHI product.

5.00 out of 5 stars Surprised others are having such a problem.

I purchased my blow dryer about four years ago, and it is still going on strong. I am very surprised to hear so many are having problems. They may not be making them like they used to.

1.00 out of 5 stars The heating element quit working after 10 months

1 of 1 people think this is helpful.
I DID like this hair dryer. This morning in the middle of styling my hair, the heating element quit working. I've only had it for TEN MONTHS! I believe I paid around $130 for it. For that price it should last a few years. I will not buy another CHI as a replacement.

4.00 out of 5 stars Buy Ionic Hairdryer

I was curious when my friend said she had a ionic hairdryer, coz I really had no idea about what Ionic hairdryer could do until she compared her hair with mine. I was jealous of her shiny and smooth hair, and it did cause my purchase of this ionic hairdryer. I'm just thinking that I should have bought it earlier! you guys just remember not to buy a hairdryer could just blow your hair, but with ionic device inside, then you will get the same shiny and smooth hair as I have.

2.00 out of 5 stars Think twice

1 of 1 people think this is helpful.
Since my first purchase, that did have a 2 year warrenty, I am on my FIFTH replacement. After the first two they now cost shipping plus $35 to replace. The last two the plugs heat to melting point. I can no longer recommend no wish to use the replacement.

My old dryer had 2-year warranty, but it just stopped blowing at it's 26th month, and I had nothing to complain about. but this hairdryer just has unexcited 1 year warranty compare to its excited function. I will buy the other one...

4.00 out of 5 stars My First Professional Hair Dryer

I really doubted the difference between a professional and a conventional hairdryer before I have this CHI ionic hair dryer. it's strongly recommended by my stylist, but I've found that this ionic hair dryer could make my hair very smooth differently from my conventional hairdryer which costs 20 bucks in supermarket. gotta believe now, professional is professional, it's different.

3.00 out of 5 stars Nothing exciting...

I have had it for a week, but nothing exciting happened, no better than my last Sedu hair dryer. anyway, this CHI is not bad, it could satisfy me basically, that's enough.
